Getting Africa on ICE: A Truly Inspiring Project for all Involved

The chance to implement and expand iGaming regulation in Africa is historic.

In no region of the world more than Africa is the importance of ICE events evident.

The Opportunity

The new opportunities for engagement in African Gaming were abundantly clear as the incredible gathering of gaming sectors at Gaming Africa 2017, giving rise to the upcoming ICE Africa to stretch ICE beyond its London border and give the industry another chance to meet, greet, network, and see the very latest gaming innovations while sharing best practices across an incredibly unique environment.

The Marketing Campaign

With the contemporary campaign themed “It’s Time,” Clarion’s launch of ICE Africa will take place across the 24th and 25th of October 2018 at South Africa’s Sandton Convention Centre.

The print and digital campaign will be comprised of extensive PR, advertising, sponsorship, experiential and direct marketing across dedicated social media to bring the emergence of Africa as a growth market in gaming to the world.

The Epochal Introduction

The bringing of ICE into Africa marks the first occasion that the world's leading gaming event brand has travelled outside its original London headquarters.

Clarion couldn’t be more eager to lead the charge into Africa.

ICE Marketing Manager Speaks

As ICE Senior Marketing Manager Dan Stone called ICE Africa an event which meets the needs of the industry by integrating a “sharp focus on the dynamics of the African gaming sector” with “the practicalities of doing business on the continent.”

Stone promised the presence of key industry figures as well as regulators as an “opportunity for all sections of the industry to meet, network, share best practice and see the very latest gaming innovations at first hand.”

The Program

The event agenda promises extensive learning, world class training and staff development modules, products and services from leading gaming brands and extensive networking opportunities.

Local Partnerships

Key local support for ICE Africa include the South African Bookmakers’ Association, the Western Cape Bookmakers Association, the Industry Group for Responsible Gambling and the European Casino Association.
