Giants vs Vikings: Monday Night Football Preview and Odds

The 2-1 Giants travel to Minnesota to try their luck against the perfect Vikings. Kick-off at 1:30 GMT.

There are still five teams across the NFC and AFC that are 3-0. Too bad for the Giants but we are talking about the Vikings. Minnesota has been the true definition of resilience as they lost their starting QB before the season and they have now lost their star RB in Adrian Peterson, out with a torn meniscus. Although they should not be winning games on paper, their defense is taking it upon themselves to destroy the offensive efforts of everyone that they have faced so far. The Vikings' D have only allowed 40 points in three games and they have given new life to the team. Last week's crucial win against the Panthers 22-10 was just an example of how this team has overcome to win, even when playing last year's NFL MVP in Cam Newton.

The Viking defense sacked Cam Newton eight times and they intercepted him thrice. They hope to do the same against Eli Manning and company when the Giants come to town tonight. Monday Night is the perfect platform for the Vikings to show that they mean business this season and the bright lights of U.S. Bank Stadium will be the perfect chance for them to do so.

The Giants won the first two games of the regular season, but were beat in a tough game to the Redskins 29-27 last weekend. Manning threw a decent game last week going 25 of 38 for a total 350 yards and a touchdown, but Washington was able to pick him off twice. He has thrown for a total of 925 yards this season, including four touchdowns and three interceptions. Sam Bradford for the Vikings is enjoying playing in the honor seat and since he took over in week 2 he has thrown for 457 yards and three touchdown's, but most importantly he has yet to throw an interception.

It would be wise to bet with the Vikings tonight, as they will most likely beat the Giants. The Vikings are an excellent team this year and have the tools to keep a perfect record for a few more weeks. bet365 Sports gives them the go ahead at 1.47, while the Giants are at 2.75. Live in play betting will be available throughout the game.
