Greyhound Racing on the Rise for PuntersPublished November 23, 2015 by Lee R
Improved technologies are increasing greyhound betting revenues online.
Greyhound racing is on the rise for online punters, all around the world and in especially in the UK.
So much so that BAGS and SIS have announced the launch of a new greyhound streaming service for international customers via mobile and desktop.
As a leading provider of almost 30,000 greyhound races from 20 UK tracks in 2015, BAGS will now partner with SIS to optimize quality for operator clients with the most seamless integration possible to date.
SIS will provide the content in the form of pictures and associated data which will be available to international bookmakers according to SIS patented Stream streaming platform technology.
BAGS chairman expressed his company's delight with its new capability of bringing British greyhound racing to an international audience of punters who are going to interact with the product for the first time.
Impact on Greyhound Racing
This should expend the notoriety, validity and marketing appeal of greyhound racing in general as an online betting activity, with greyhound racing already gained a foothold with newfound popularity at major sportsbooks such as bet365 Sports, 888 Sport and William Hill Sports.
The introduction of cutting edge technologies to the greyhound race betting platform should also spur growth. Additional new technology was previously introduced two weeks via another deal amongst BAGS and SIS via a new live video streaming service for UK and Ireland customers in partnership with At The Races.
Reinvestment in Greyhound Racing
New technologies and wider audiences mean increased patronage, increased punting activity, and increased revenues which can be reinvested back into the sports. This means more greyhound racing, more innovative land-base venues, and more advertising at the grass roots level which can also increase the profile of land-based greyhound-racing at the global level as a result of the windfalls that online expansion can and do bring in.
