Holland Wins Lingerie World CupPublished June 2, 2014 by OCR Editor
Holland's team of four in underclothes brings pride to the nation as they win the 2014 Lingerie World Cup.
In a sort of a juicy prelude to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil which kicks off in less than two weeks, a group of minimally dressed women competed last week in the 2014 Lingerie World Cup in Holland. The competition, organized by Dutch channel Veronica TV, saw the attendance of scantily-clad contestants from the hosting nation Holland as well as women from Italy, South Korea, Spain, Algeria, Russia, Germany and Brazil.
Under the supervision of the special referee, former Dutch International and Everton player Andy Van der Meyde, the teams from the different countries competed in an actual 4-a side football tournament. The final saw the Dutch team beating Spain, leading them to proudly lift the Lingerie World Cup and throwing the responsibility over to the men.
Will The "Oranje" Follow Suit in Brazil?
Managed by the freshly appointed Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, the Dutch national team beat Ghana in 1-0 in a friendly last Saturday, dominating ball possession throughout the game. Now the greater question stands: Will the "Oranje" manage to replicate the success of their fellow countrywomen in Brazil? The 2010 South Africa world Cup saw the Dutch reach the final where they faced the unstoppable Spain, losing 0-1 after extra time.
On Friday June 13th, the 2010 and Lingerie World Cup finalists Holland and Spain meet again in the 2014 World Cup Group B.
