The Chepstow Racecourse is the venue today for the annual Welsh National horse race (shooting off 2:35pm UK time). A Grade 3 National Hunt Chase, the race is run over a distance of 3 miles and 5 and half furlongs with 22 fences to jump.

Mountainous Looks to Defend Title

Winner of last year's race Mountainous will try to be the first champion to successfully defend his championship since 1989. Trained by Richard Lee, the 9 year old Mountainous has won 5 runs in his career so far, finishing three times both in the 2nd and 3rd spot.
