Attracting representatives from 91 countries from around the globe, including 25 African countries, the inaugural ICE Africa event will seek to shape the future of the African market.
On October 24 and 25, Clarion will host the inaugural ICE Africa at the Sandton Convention Centre located in South Africa. The vision to bring the top-tier industry event to the continent has been supported by many important stakeholders in the industry, demonstrated by the fact the event is already at around 90% of its entire capacity twelve days before the start.
Responding to Industry Demands
According to Dan Stone, Clarion's Senior Marketing Manager, the idea to bring ICE to Africa has come about as a result of the industry demand. Big players in the gaming industry wanted to have a show that the continent could be really proud of and Clarion hopes to deliver with ICE.
Since the inception of the idea, they have received great support from all sides, as journalists, game and content suppliers, regulators, and others involved in the industry have encouraged it. The event will see a great number of leading brands in the attendance, including the likes of Aruze Gaming, Playtech BGT Sports, Neosurf, Merkur Gaming, Quanta, and many others.
A total of 91 countries will be represented at ICE Africa, including 25 countries from the continent, such as Cameroon, Botswana, Chad, Nigeria, Liberia, Tanzania, Morocco, Gambia, Egypt, Lesotho, Sudan, and, of course, South Africa.
Covering a Variety of Topics
The inaugural ICE Africa event is set to cover a wide spectrum of topics from the gaming industry. Focusing on learning and development, the event will create room for brainstorming ideas about shaping the future of the African market and there will be numerous workshops looking at different facets of the industry.
Through the networkAFRICA segment, ICE Africa will also provide ample opportunities for everyone in attendance to forge new connections and create new strategic partnerships with colleagues from all over the world.
As for the program of the conference itself, it will cover topics like lottery, mobile gaming, regulation, and much more.
