Bet365, Skrill, Paddy Power among the big names to win some of the annual awards
The 2013 iGB Affiliate Awards were held last week as part of the annual London Affiliate Conference, with a mix of big and lesser-known industry names receiving recognition for their contribution to the online gambling industry.
Big winners
With a record 24 prizes awarded on the night there was plenty of cheer to go round, but perhaps the most notable victor of the night was bet365 - which was named Best Affiliate Program overall. The judges gave bet365 the top honour because it "continues to develop and improve year on year."
Awards were given out for best affiliates programs and best individual affiliate managers in each sector, casino, poker, bingo and sports betting. There was also a big focus on the non-gambling side of things, with Skrill Moneybookers notably taking out the award for Best Payment System for Affiliates.
About the awards
Every year more than 500 people form the iGaming affiliate community gather in London to honour the industry's ongoing success. 2013 was the sixth annual awards, continuing the tradition of celebrating the growth, innovation and achievements within this particular sector of the gaming industry.
Winners are awarded through a two-step judging process. First, all categories are opened to the public for voting. The top 10 vote-getters in each categories are then shortlisted and their names sent off to a judging panel of industry experts, who decide who the ultimate winner of the prize is.
