IGT and Loto-Quebec sign fresh deal on online gambling.
International Game Technology will provide Loto-Quebec with access to its complete suite of online and mobile games under the terms of an agreement announced by the two sides this week.
Loto Quebec Expands
EspaceJeux, the real-money online gambling site administer by provincial gaming firm Loto-Quebec, will introduce more games than ever before thanks to this latest deal. These titles, which will be available in English and French, will include interactive versions of IGT's most popular land-based games.
Players in Quebec will have complete access to popular online casino games like Cats, Coyote Moon, Da Vinci Diamonds and Kitty Glitter, according to IGT Executive VP Robert Melenderes. Loto-Quebec will also utilize the IGT data center on the other side of the country in Kamloops, BC.
Online Lotteries
Loto-Quebec's foray into online gambling follows their entrance last year into the world of online lottery ticket sales. Since August, Quebec lottery players have been able to purchase a range of lottery products through their casino or sports betting accounts at the Espacejeux website.
The provincial gaming operator reached a deal with retailers that sees the latter take a slice of revenues from the website's online sales. The deal has proved to be good news for both sides while providing consumers with another way to buy their lotto tickets.
