IGT Named Best Slot Provider

International Game Technology recognized for contribution at EGR B2B Awards.

International Game Technology has been recognized for its contribution to the online gambling industry after being named Slot Provider of the Year at the eGaming Review B2B Awards in London.

IGT Best Slot Provider

This was the second year in a row that IGT has been named best slot provider at the EGR B2B Awards, which are also in their second year and are the industry's premier award for companies offering B2B products.

In 2010 IGT's WagerWorks subsidiary received the award, and this year the company won again on the back of such slots titles as StarTrek, Kitty Glitter, White Orchid and 100,000 Pyramid.

IGT executive VP Gideon Bierer said the award acknowledges the quality of its online premium games, adding, "It has been a year of great momentum for the company...with the rebranding of WagerWorks and Million-2-1 under the IGT umbrella."

Microgaming, Playtech Split Awards

Online casino software giants Microgaming and Playtech split the big prizes at the awards night, with Microgaming named best poker network and winning the prize for best innovation in slots, while Playtech scooped up best casino supplier and best bingo network.

More than 30 awards were handed out in total at the gala event, which was held at the Chelsea Football Club, with prizes split into the software/network and services categories.
