Betfred has become first online gambling site to join IGT's new offices.
Online gambling site Betfred announced has announced it is taking the plunge ahead of all competitors by signing on to become the first customer of International Game Technology's new Gibraltar office and data centre.
Landmark deal for both sidesThe new deal gives Betfred full, optimized access to IGT's state-of-the-art new center. It allows the gambling portal to release world renowned titles immediately into the online gaming arena immediately, including Elvis, Star Trek, Da Vinci Diamonds and Monopoly.
IGT also benefits heavily from this new deal. It marks the first practical example of what the company was intending when it became the first business-to-business oriented company to receive a Gibraltar gaming licence.
Games are 'key focus'Betfred Managing Director Chris Sheffield called games a "key focus area" for his company, saying: "As we are licensed in Gibraltar, it was an easy decision to make the move over to the IGT rgs platform and boost our selection of market leading games.
IGT VP of Interactive Alex Kelly said his company was delighted to make Betfred its first partner, adding: "IGT has always seen the value and appeal of Gibraltar as a world-leading gaming jurisdiction and our new Gibraltar office is ideally located for the sustained growth of our interactive business."
