Exclusive Regulation Updates
The key revelation: the regulated online market in the Netherlands will open January 1, 2021, as announced by Netherlands Gambling Authority chairman and keynote speaker René Jansen.
The address was immediately followed by the publishing of a form on the Dutch regulation address inviting the first prospective licensees to express their interest in acquiring a remote license.
Gaming in Holland CEO Erwin van Lambaart's update on the Casino Reform Bill privatizing Holland Casino legislation cited the new “Experience Zone” as a venue within the land-based venue that acquaints millennials with land-based casinos. The Awards Ceremony
The rousing 2019 Gaming in Holland Awards Ceremony featured two categories: Innovation of the Year and Responsible Gaming Initiative of the Year.
After much deliberation on the part of the jury across both categories, the Holland Casino’s Experience Zone took home the 2019 Innovation of the Year hardware as “a thrilling game zone especially for young, enthusiastic players.”
Recognition as Responsible Gaming Initiative of the Year was ultimately taken by the Pas Op Gamen en Gokken initiative. Started by two former gambling addicts, the initiative seeks to create awareness among minors and young people regarding the risks of excessive gaming and gambling.
In the most crucial year in the history of iGaming in Holland, the aforementioned proceedings were just the tip of the iceberg; conference sessions have been recorded and are visible in full at the conference website.
