The London Affiliate Conference at Olympia National finished with flying colors, benefiting all attendees in ways they never imagined.
Empowering Attendees with Diversity
A diverse array of conference sessions and intensive topics stretched over the high-powered conference rooms of the LAC and Financial Partners Expo. The newly featured Acquisition and Retention Zone conference room was well-attended by a host innovative new companies discussing the emerging and defining trends of player acquisition and retention in iGaming service provisions.
Interesting topics covered included the shadow blocking discussion of the rise of ad blocking and its impact on the effects on the iGaming sector. A preponderance of affiliates and operators were on hand to learn how to adapt to changes in ad blocking online content. The flashpoint workshop provided insights into how paying iGaming operators could adapt their messages and outreach into more palatable and appropriate user-friendly messages.
Anything to strengthen ties between the online community and iGaming, and the panel of Clear Concise Media Journalist Scott Longley, Revenue Engineers Managing Partner Fintan Costello, Digital Fuel Marketing Head of affiliates Luke Cotton, and moderator and iGaming Head of Online Content & Intelligence Jake Pollard pragmatically addressed the current challenges of devising user-friendly ads.
Another highlight was the LAC 10 year anniversary panel that brought together six of the iGaming industry's most prominent players over the last 10 years. A frank interview with Michael Caselli regaling listeners with great stories from the industry's early years and LAC's of the past decade.
Highlights of the show included the meet and greets with the wealth of famous ex-footballers attending operator booths such as Chris Kamara at the Labrokes booth and Ruud Gullit at the BetClic stand. Other visible football luminaries included Danny Murphy, Ian Rush, Robbie Savage, Glenn Hoddle, John Barnes and Glenn Hysén, as well as rugby star Mike Tindall at at UFX.com's stand. American multiple heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield further charmed with refreshing elan.
The spectacle of the 10th Anniversary Cake for LAC was a smash hit too, with attendees possibly biased by the accompanying free champagne, cake and inspiring words from uber-entreprenuer Alex Pratt.
The New IGB Awards
