International Gaming Awards Crowns NetEnt, Playtech

The recent IGA awards named NetEnt winner of the prestigious Slot Provider and Supplier Product of the Year award for innovation in games.

Online casino software developer Net Entertainment (NetEnt) scooped the prize for Slots Provider/Supplier Product of The Year in Monday's 8th International Gaming Awards (IGA) held at the Savoy Hotel in London. The prize was presented to NetEnt for excelling in both online and land based casinos. This is NetEnt's second prize in a row in the IGA after it won the Innovator of the Year prize in last year's event.

NetEnt Lauded for Innovative Products

The prestigious prize was given to NetEnt for showing innovation and exciting customers with its range of products over the last year. The traits the judges looked after included an innovative approach and a unique portfolio of products which sets the company from its competitors.

President and CEO of NetEnt Per Eriksson commented after the win: "To walk away with the Slot Provider/Supplier Product of the Year for both online and land based is a superb achievement. Our mission is always to provide leading edge online casino solutions and we’re honoured to be recognized for our hard work.

NetEnt's Expanding Portfolio

NetEnt has released some notable titles in 2014, including the branded Aliens slot which combined the traditional slots style with modern-day 3D first-person shooter gameplay.

2015 opened strongly for NetEnt as well with the release of Tornado: Farm Escape, and the company's got some interesting games coming up with promising releases like Steam Tower and Spiñata Grande. These will be available on leading NetEnt casinos such as Slotty Vegas, Casino Cruise and BETAT Casino.

Cherry and Playtech among Winners

Other winners in Monday night's IGA awards include Playtech which won for "iGaming Software", Mr Green Casino which won for "Online Casino Operator" and Swedish operator Cherry Casino which won "Online Gaming Operator" for the second year in a row. Play'n'GO won the "Mobile Product of the Year" and the UK-based Hippodrome Casino took the "Casino Operator Europe" award.
