The prestigious International Gaming Awards are to be sponsored by PokerStars, who are the worlds' largest online Poker site.
It has been announced that the 2014 International Gaming Awards ceremony is to be sponsored by PokerStars, the biggest online Poker site in the world. The IGA are regarded as the most independent awards, and they also raise money for good causes. Awards include the Women in Gaming category, Outstanding Contributions and Operators of the Year, while they are also a great place for the great and good of the gaming online business to get together. Since the first ceremony in 1999, they have become one of the un-missable events in the gaming calendar.
PokerStars are to be a Gold Sponsor of the event, and the IGA Organizer, Colin Thompson, has stated that he is very proud to have PokerStars join up as sponsors, and that without the support of major brands, it would not be possible to hold such a big and important event.
Sponsors don't get much bigger or more prestigious than PokerStars, who hold a record for having the most players online at any one time, as well as for holding the largest online Poker tournament. With almost 50 million registered players, PokerStars is the home of the World Championship of Online Poker. Using bespoke software, players can compete against each other in Holdem, Omaha, Stud, and Bagudi games plus more.
