iSoftBet to Share Content with Merkur Casinos

Merkur will add iSoftBet’s gaming content to its various casino sites in 2016 after striking a distribution deal.

iSoftBet has secured a new distribution deal that will give the casino software developer access to a larger playing audience. From May 2016, iSoftBet will embark on a strategic partnership with fellow casino software company Merkur Interactive Services.

Moving forward, Merkur will integrate the entirety of iSoftBet’s online gaming suite within that of its own. As a result, Merkur will be able to provide an even larger selection of online slots and table games. In addition, iSoftBet will provide access to its Game Aggregation Platform, thereby including third-party gaming content.

New Slot Content for Merkur

Owned by the Gauselmann Group, Merkur will use the partnership as an opportunity to provide new slot content to UK and Spanish online gambling markets. For added benefit, many of iSoftBet’s leading slot games are also compatible on smartphones and tablets. These include original creations like Mega Boy, Astro Magic, Bewitched, Diamond Wild, and Happy Birds.

Beyond its original content, iSoftBet has sought licensing deals to develop video slots that are officially based on Hollywood entertainment properties. Thus far, branded iSoftBet slots have been comprised of 24, Nacho Libre, Platoon, Rambo, the Warriors, the Love Guru, and Basic Instinct, among a few others.

Getting to table games, iSoftBet is predominantly focused on blackjack and roulette, but the same can be said for most developers. Alongside a few variants of each, players will also get punto banco and joker poker.

Strategic Benefits

Following the deal, iSoftBet head of sales Luci Apostolou said that it was a major highlight in the company’s year. In the future, Apostolou also said the company would seek to combine gaming and casino knowledge within the partnership.

Meanwhile, Merkur Interactive Services CEO Bernd Henning cited the growing reputation of iSoftBet as an incentive for striking the agreement. Henning also said it would benefit Merkur to expand its presence in regulated markets like the UK and Spain with the help of iSoftBet.
