Italy Market Gets Even More Robust with New Microgaming Gaming-Blox Deal

The distribution deal calls for Isle of Man-based Microgaming to expand the reach of its vast suite of games to more Italian operators via local Italian platform and content provider Blox Limited to bolster Italy‘s “thriving online casino market.”

Delivery

Signed under the auspices of gaming software giant Microgaming-powered Prima Networks Limited (PNL), the distribution deal calls for the delivery of 50 of Microgaming's most popular online slot and casino titles to Blox’s already prodigious and renowned portfolio.

Building Up Blox

Other providers to Italy-facing Blox include leading developers such as Evolution Gaming, Pragmatic Play and Cherry AB subsidiary, Yggdrasil Gaming.

Implementation

PNL Managing Director Rupert Dix reports that Blox will receive additional content from Microgaming studios over the coming months, enabling the many local operators in Italy powered by Blox to offer enhanced content to their players, and added:

“Italy has a thriving online casino market and we are thrilled to be able to offer our games to more operators and players via this great partnership with BLOX.”

New Content

Italian players will now be able to enjoy famous Microgaming titles including the exclusive Lara Croft Temples and Tombs offering.

Blox Chief Commercial Officer Karl Grech lauded the competitive advantage of offering Microgaming titles:

“We have built an incredible portfolio of games from some of the biggest providers in the market and the addition of Microgaming further sets us apart from our rival platform providers and aggregators.”

Blox Expansion Year

After launching 2021 with a partnership with Cypress iGaming company Fugaso, Blox continue the year with a content provision deal Italy aggregator Betagioco.it. This represents another huge channel for incoming Microgaming content in Italy.

Microgaming's Expansion

The deal continues to expand Microgaming's reach in Europe, after an earlier content deal to supply Portuguese gaming and hospitality company Solverde Group, via the Portugal land-based regional powerhouse's new online casino and sports betting brand, Solverde.pt.

The amount of complementary growth the Microgaming-Blox deal infuses for both parties and the market it is serving stands out as a model for future iGaming expansion deals.
