The newest kid on the block, The Cosmopolitan, does New Year's in style.
For all the talk of declining revenues at Las Vegas casinos, this New Year's Eve will still be a big hit with Jay-Z headlining the list of stars set to play at the city's glamorous establishments.
Hip Hop the New YearSurprisingly, it is the city's newest casino, The Cosmopolitan, that has secured the hip-hop giant's signature, after agreeing to pay him the sum of $1 million for the one of the one-off performance, which takes place just two weeks after the resort casino and hotel opened to the public.
Joining Jay Z will be another of the biggest names in music, Coldplay, with actress-turned-country musician Gwyneth Paltrow and the wife of the band's lead singer Chris Martin set to join them on stage. It is still unknown if Jay-Z's famous wife Beyonce will also join the festivities.
Online AlternativeOf course, for those who can't make it, you can still do the next best thing and play from one of the great selection of online casinos listed on our home page, while playing tracks from your own favorite singers over YouTube, whether it be those appearing in Vegas later this week or other artists altogether.
Either way, we wish all our readers a Happy New Year.
