Journalist Diamond Flush to be Honored at iGaming North America Conference

Organizers of the iGaming North America Conference have just announced that they be paying tribute to the late journalist, Diamond Flush, while awarding the Operator of the Year award during the inaugural iGaming North America Awards ceremony.

Diamond Flush was an active poker journalist and advocate; she was admired by many in the poker community for her dedicated work and journalistic integrity. Diamond Flush was the main figure behind exposing the inner workings of Full Tilt Poker after the site collapsed in 2011; she also donated generously towards setting up regulated online poker in New Jersey.

She passed away in January 2015 after a difficult bout with cancer.

Memorial organizers have set up the hashtag #DiamondTribute in order to collect stories and memories, which will then be woven into video tributes and presentations. Additionally, Director David Rebuck of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement will be making a video presentation in which he will talk about “Diamond Flush” and her contribution to the poker industry.

Alex Pratt, Head of iGaming Business, one of the organizing partners of the the iGaming conference, commented that honoring Diamond Flush’s memory during the Operator of the Year award fits perfectly with Diamond Flush’s “integrity, tenacity and dedication,” all of which are qualities required by the best online operators.

About iGaming North America

The iGaming North America conference will take place in Las Vegas between April 14-16, 2015, and the awards ceremony will take place on April 16 during the official lunch. This will be the 5th annual conference, and it is designed to bring together the land-based gaming businesses of North America with the global iGaming industry. iGaming North America also seeks to create an awareness about the potential impact of regulating internet gambling in the United States and Canada.

Discussions, presentations and updates will be held regarding players, resources, legislative framework and other relevant topics. Attendees will include operators, consultants, vendors, suppliers and anyone else who is interested about the future of iGaming in North America.
