After the issue has been flirted with, skirted around, and obfuscated, RiG 2019 will tackle responsible gaming head on for the first time.
The first Responsibility in Gaming RiG dates have been announced for this year in Belgium.
Conference Site
The inaugural conference is set to take place October 23rd to 24th in Brussels at Steigenberger Wiltcher’s Hotel (formerly the Conrad Hotel), centrally located at Avenue Louise.
The Gathering
The chance to see responsible gaming done right begins in Brussels, where RiG will bring together scholars and other experts to share proactive insights on problem gambling, including prevalence and never before seen neurological effects that take place in the brains of people with gambling disorders.
Preventative Intervention
The need to identify the root causes of problem gambling at RiG is necessary to show stakeholders what they can and should do to create effective and workable responsible gaming policy.
Diversifying the Interface
RiG gambling expert and conference organizer Pieter Remmers says the most important reason to attend this conference is to bring together the entire gaming and gambling industry from lotteries to online casino operators so that the diverse gathering can exchange insights and learn from each other.
Applying the Knowledge
Top executives as well as top researchers will be on hand to share their expertise on responsible gaming with the intention of translating evidence-based research into best practices.
Movers and Shakers
Decision makers in the land-based, online, and lottery industry segments all will be on hand to deliver specific and concrete information to responsible gambling principles in their core business operations.
Speakers So Far
Confirmed speakers are set to include Danish Gambling Authority Spillemyndigheden Director Birgitte Sand; Gaming Regulators European Forum Chairwoman GREF Claire Pinson-Bessonnet; European Casino Association ECA Chairman of the Board Per Jaldung; Mr. Green Ltd. CEO Jesper Kärrbrink, Pharumlegal Managing Partner Philippe Vlaemminck; Sophro founder Jonathan Parke; and Associate Professor at Aarhus University and Head of Neuroimaging Kim Mouridson among others.
