Live Bet: European Super Cup, Winner Sports EditionPublished August 12, 2014 by Sol FH
Real Madrid takes on Sevilla in the European Super Cup at Cardiff City Stadium at 19:45 UK time.
All eyes will be on Cardiff tonight as the winners of last year's Champions League (Real Madrid), and the winners of last year's Europa League (Sevilla) go head to head in the European Super Cup. The cup is a precursor to the beginning of the European League, and both players and fans are eager to see the season begin with a bang.
Tonight's match will be the first UEFA club competition to use that vanishing foam spray that the world fell in love with at the World Cup in Brazil.
Onward and Upward
For Sevilla, this season's goal is to join Europe's top teams in the Champions League, while Los Blancos are shooting for yet another league title. Real and Sevilla have never met in this competition before but both teams have won the Super European Cup in the past.
Real Madrid has a roster that should instill fear into their opponents. Tonight will be the unveiling of their all-new player's James Rodriguez, the Colombian all-star and Toni Kroos, the master midfielder from Germany. They will join an already incredible team including Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Sevilla have also added a lot of new talent to their side including the likes of Grzegorz Krychowiak from Reims, Aleix Vidal from Almeria, Nicolas Pareja from Spartek and Daniel Carrico from Reading. Albeit not the names on Real's list, but nonetheless excellent footballers that can win games and will give Madrid a lot to deal with tonight.
