Lively Debate Will Spur Development at Juegos Miami 2017Published May 31, 2017 by Lee R
Momentum of development of the LatAm and Caribbean regions increases at this C-Level event.
One of iGaming’s hottest conferences opens just in time for big summer fun to accelerate development in the Lat Am and Caribbean regions.
With industry support growing all the time, the 2nd annual Juegos Miami will be taking place May 31st to June 2nd June at the lavish and elegant Biltmore, Miami, with an expanded version from last year’s inaugural event that will see over 40 presenting, exhibiting or sponsoring.
As the C-Level business event grows, the LatAm and Caribbean gaming sectors grow as iGaming forces commensurately, fostering a rapid expansion which Event Direct Greg Saint was quick to emphasise:
"We continue to work with the industry to ensure that Juegos Miami continues to play a central role in the development of a vibrant and sustainable industry in what is one of gaming's most exciting regions."

LatAm influential trade associations and representative bodies at Juegos Miami include CIBELAE (Corporación Iberoamericana de Loterías y Apuestas del Estado); FECOLJUEGOS (Colombian federation of casinos and bingorooms); CONAJZAR (Commission nacional de juegos de azar); ABLE (Brazilian State lotteries Association); Magocom/BNL, and FECEAZAR (Federación Colombiana de Empresarios de Juegos de Azar).
Leading Sponsors Include..
Commercial supporters from the region include Abbiati; BetConstruct; Betradar; IGT Colombia; Merkur; Play’n Go; and Scientific Games.
Keys discussions at Juegos Miami this year will be focussed on the future of LatAm regulation elimination of illegal gambling. These and other noteworthy topics for the region will be debated by thought leaders from throughout the LatAm region across a packed business agenda for one of the industry’s most exciting and dynamic regions.
Uruguay Leader Launches
CIBELAE and National Lottery of Uruguay President Luis Gama believes the best style of regulation is one that broadly balances the interests of each of the diverse states across LatAm with the rights of the bettor with best practices in other regions guiding the process:
"In our region, we have very different regulatory models and that means that we can take elements of other regulations that have had good results” with lotteries an example of iGaming providers stepping up their efforts “to integrate the various regulations in force.”
Another speaker, Sun Dreams’ Responsible Gaming Division Corporate Manager Mariela Huenchumilla, will be speaking on the importance of using regulation to stop illegal gaming detoxify the industry in a region historically beset by widespread illegal gaming:
“The best model is the one developed with the industry and not against it” believes Huenchumilla, with “clear and strict rules” being the path to discouraging and eliminating illegal gaming.
The Lively Juegos Platform
These and other voices will be heard more, leading Clarion Managing Director and event promoter Kate Chambers to assert the ideal debate platform that Juegos Miami is becoming for key LatAm topics.
As a result Chambers looks forward to her organisational vision of “international co-operation and business between nations” fostering “a sustainable gaming industry...founded on fair, clear and enforceable regulations.”
With powerful, strategic and hands-on learning programmes scheduled alongside a continuously growing line-up of inspirational exhibitors and sponsors, the proud attendees accepted to this C-Level event will surely get an early foothold on the increasing benefits emerging out of the economically formidable Lat Am and Caribbean region at Juegos Miami 2017.
