Liverpool Braces for Stanford Bridge Clash with Chelsea

Chelsea and Liverpool set the stage for the 5th Round off the Premier League (8:00 p.m UK Time).

The most exciting match of the weekend in the English Premier League is scheduled for Friday and pits Chelsea against Liverpool. Both teams have high expectations for this season, despite the fact that the teams from Manchester are favorites to win the trophy. They are yet to lose a match, but they are unlikely to settle for one point at Stanford Bridge.

Something's Got to Give in London

Chelsea failed to win the fourth match in a row after allowing two goals on the road against Swansea. Under Conte’s leadership, they have turned into a more offensive minded team, trying to score one more goal than the opponent. So far, this tactic has worked brilliantly for them, but they will be hard-pressed to keep up the tempo against Liverpool.

On average they scored more than two goals per match in the domestic league and were even more effective in Cup matches. The injury list has shrunk and now only features two defenders, so the offensive line up is intact. The fans have high expectations from this match and count on the Blues to come out firing on all cylinders and push Liverpool into a corner.

Offensive Lineup for Klopp

The most recent matched between them have resulted in low scoring lines, but things are much different this season. Klopp is determined to turn Liverpool into the best scoring team in the league and he plays matches accordingly. The fact that they travel to Stanford Bridge doesn’t change anything and the Reds will feature three strikers and offensive midielders.

It’s always difficult to pick winners in derbies such as this one, but punters have a better option. Bet365 will offer odds of 4/5 on more than 2.5 goals to be scored. This looks like a very likely outcome given the offensive manner in which the two teams have played so far.
