The discussions about the future of crypto were led by investment experts and officials.

A major cryptocurrency summit took place this month, and it appears to have positioned cryptocurrency and blockchain technology at the forefront of the emerging and future global economy.

The Event

From June 6-7th, the world’s leading global blockchain specialists convened in London to discuss trends in the cryptospace and share best practices for the present and future at the Blockchain International Show international event dedicated to cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and ICO.

Attendees

Attendees included entrepreneurs, investors, developers, lawyers, blockchain executives, startupers, traders, and many crypto enthusiasts.

Fintech Shines

Fintech’s most prominent luminaries were on hand, including public officials as well as representatives from prominent global blockchain organizations such as IBM, KPMG, and Bitfury.

Investing in Crypto

A key conversation revolved around how to invest in crypto, with Fintech entrepreneur and LinkedIn economy and finance Top Voice of 2017 Lex Sokolin easing remaining investor uncertainty about the cryptospace with the reminder that the key to effective blockchain investment is adherence to the common investment prudence of factoring in all risks and opportunities.

Sokolin further indicated that total ICO funds raised in 2018 had already exceeded last year’s figure, calling the disproportionate 50% contribution from the two token sales Telegram and EOS an area in need of improvement.

The Benefits of ICO

Coinsilium CEO Eddy Travia of London drew upon his 14 years of investment expertise to identify the best ICO benefits as lack of strict investment conditions and dynamic new tools such as smart contracts and ERC20 tokens.

Blockchain in Finance
Other speakers included Z/Yen consultancy firm Michael Mainelli and Cryptoassets Design Group consulting agency co-founder Richard Kastelein.

Exhibition

The two day exhibition included fintech mining hardware, crypto wallets, blockchain applications, and blockchain software along with a range of financial, technical, and legal services. Presenting organisations included Fruture, Game Protocol, UniTalent, Decenternet, Block Stocks, and Heliocor to name just a few.

Outlook

BIS was an amazing blockchain conference, but not the last one for 2018. Promoter Smile-Expo still has conferences in 2018 on tap in Georgia, France, Sweden, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Switzerland, with more details at their website.
