Looking Back on the Biggest Game Reveals from ICE 2019

Online Casino Reports recaps the biggest slot reveals that were made by NetEnt, Microgaming, and others at the ICE Totally Gaming 2019 exhibition.

ICE Totally Gaming 2019 recently completed a three-day run from 5-7 February at the ExCeL London exhibition centre. Each day brought a new wave of announcements from some of the most active companies within iGaming. Software providers NetEnt and Microgaming were especially busy when it came to announcing forthcoming games.

NetEnt Reveals Conan and Ozzy Osbourne Slots

Recent years have seen NetEnt secure the right to a variety of Hollywood properties, such as Aliens, Jumanji, and Planet of the Apes. At ICE 2019, it was revealed that a Conan slot would be next on the horizon, giving NetEnt casinos access to a story-driven slot featuring a character that is known for battling in a fantasy-driven setting.

By this point, NetEnt casinos have released a number of music slots, including Guns N’ Roses, Jimi Hendrix, and Motörhead. Well, those legends will soon be joined by another rock ‘n’ roll icon in the form of Ozzy Osbourne. The self-proclaimed Prince of Darkness will join the NetEnt Rocks collection later in 2019.

Microgaming Shows Off New Slots

Microgaming used ICE 2019 to demonstrate that the software provider can also release music slots. At the start off the conference, the provider unveiled the officially licensed Village People® Macho Moves slot. Microgaming is partnered with several independent developers, with Fortune Factory Studios responsible for the Village People slot.

The next reveal was the comeback of a past Microgaming star in the Agent Jane Blonde Returns slot from Stormcraft Studios. Going in a different direction, Microgaming used samurai warriors to shed light on the reveal of the Shogun of Time slot made by Just for the Win.

Microgaming showed further variety when unveiling the Banana Odyssey slot from Slingshot Studios on day two of the exhibition. The biggest reveal, however, came when Microgaming announced that it would release a third slot in the Tomb Raider series, entitled Lara Croft® Temples and Tombs.

New BetSoft Slots from ICE

BetSoft Gaming was also active for displaying new slots, with the provider bringing Max Quest: Wrath of Ra to the conference. In addition, Faerie’s Spells presented a darker view on fairytales, while Chillipop incorporates a cluster-driven interface where a carnival is going on.

Greentube Makes an Appearance

Novomatic subsidiary Greentube was also on hand at the conference, which saw the provider reveal The Great Gambini’s Night Magic slot. Greentube also presented the first of two branded slots that were based on the MacGyver TV detective franchise. These include MacGyver: Duct Tape & Diamonds and MacGyver: Tidal Riches.

Deal or No Deal Live Game

Switching over to the live sphere, Evolution Gaming showcased a Deal or No Deal live game based on the hit TV show. Evolution made a number of other reveals, including Infinite Blackjack, Lightning Dice, Free Bet Blackjack, Super Sic Bo, and Side Bet City.

SBTech Getting Games from Tom Horn

When it comes to deals, SBTech reached an agreement to install a suite of games from software provider Tom Horn Gaming. SBTech had previously focused on sports betting, but now the operator is moving into online casino games.
