Colts vs Broncos in the final AFC Divisional game of the 2015 playoffs, tonight at 21:40 (UK).
It is the game that no football fan should ever get tired of watching: Peyton Manning, the Colts ex-star quarterback taking on his old team with the help of the help of his new squad, the Denver Broncos. Manning is a legend and any team that faces him when he is on his game, needs to be very worried, as he doesn't lose very often at all. Tonight's game should be as exciting as they come, as these teams have almost identical stats and they both want to move onto the Conference Championships.
A QB Battle Like No Other
Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck are set to do battle for the third time since Luck took over of the Colts reigns. They are so close in their 2014 regular season statistics that it is almost unbelievable. Manning comes into tonight's game with 4,727 yards, 39 Touchdowns and a QB rating of 101.5. Luck is almost exactly the same with 4,761 yards, 40 Touchdowns and a QB rating of 96.5. They are the leaders of their respective team, but it is fair to say that Luck will need to be better than normal if he wants to beat Manning at home tonight. He will also need to avoid the outside Linebacker duo of DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller, (24 combined sacks in 2014) who will definitely be looking to put Luck down on the ground as often as possible.
Manning will tie Brett Favre tonight for second-most QB starts in the playoffs with 24. It was only the second time in his illustrious career, which he went 8-0 at home throughout the regular season. The last time he did that was in 2006 with the Colts, which was followed by a Super Bowl Championship. Luck can also achieve some amazing stats tonight, if he throws over 300 yards, he will be one off tying Hall of Famer Dan Fouts for most consecutive 300-yard post-season games.
