Lucky UK Winner Hits EuroMillions Jackpot For £51.8 MillionPublished April 14, 2016 by Vlad G
The numbers are in and the jackpot for the EuroMillions lottery is once again claimed by a UK player.
The draw on Tuesday for the very popular EuroMillions lottery resulted in at least one winner for the jackpot worth £51.8 million. More players can come forward after they compare their tickets to the winning numbers, which were 9, 1, 5, 22 and 38, with the Lucky Stars being 10 and 2.
Big Jackpots Coming to the UK
This year is already shaping up to be very rewarding for ticket holders in the UK as it is the third lottery jackpot won so far. Just a few weeks ago, another British citizen won £24.6 million after the ticket was the only one to match all the numbers. Back in February, a player got a share of the jackpot for £50 million.
This most recent win was also joined by several smaller prizes, as the lottery also awards money for only matching five of the regular numbers and one lucky star number. A total of four players fit in this group on the draw and claimed £207,523.40 each.
More than that, 12 ticket holders matched the regular five numbers and won £23,058.10. All in all, the EuroMillions made quite a few people happy with the Tuesday draw.
The record for the biggest EuroMillions jackpot remains at £161,653,000, which was won in 2011.
Online Lottery Tickets for Everyone
Lotteries have seen a recent boost in popularity with online lottery agents becoming more and more commonly used. These vendors allow players from all over the world to take part in lotteries which would be otherwise limited to certain countries. As a result, EuroMillions can be enjoyed by all players with an internet connection and not just from those in participating European markets.
The same can be said about the really big lotteries, such as Powerball and Mega Millions, which award hundreds of millions of dollars on a regular basis. Online lottery tickets can be found at LottoExpress, The Lotter and LottoBooking for perfectly secure purchases.
