The Rays and the Astros get on the diamond for Game 2 at 21:10 GMT, while the Dodgers and the Braves meet for Game 1 at 1:10 GMT, tonight.
The MLB League Championship Series continues tonight with the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Houston Astros, and then the LA Dodgers take on the Atlanta Braves later tonight. In the first game of the night, the Rays will play the Astros, with the home team enjoying a 1-0 series lead after beating Houston 2-1, yesterday to start the series.
The Rays shut down the Astros' offensive hitting, only allowing a single run in the first inning and silencing them for the eight-consecutive innings following while managing to score the two runs necessary for a Game 1 win. The Rays' slugger, Randy Arozarena, a seemingly unknown player, only entering the ALDS against the Yankees. He homered thrice and maintained a hitting average of .421. He hasn't stopped since and his tying homer gave the Rays a sigh of relief before taking the lead in the next inning.
Arozarena wasn't even playing regularly and stepped on the diamond for the first time on August 30, 2020. The Rays were already huge before he was on the roster. He was decent during the regular season, hitting .281/.382/.641 with seven homers in 64 at-bats, but, in the playoffs, he has taken things to an entirely new level hitting .433/.485/.967 through eight games.
The Astros will need to wake up and get those bats going if they want to beat the Rays.
ALCS Game 2 MLB Odds
Charlie Morton will be on the mound tonight for Tampa Bay, while Houston is going with Lance McCullers Jr. The Rays are favorites to win with bet365 Sports posting in their favor at 1.76. The Astros have a little bit of ground to make up at 2.10, but they could easily win this game.
NLCS Game 1
Both the Dodgers and the Braves are well-rested for the beginning of their NLCS best-of-seven series. After sweeping the Marlins and the Padres, respectively, Atlanta and LA will meet for a chance to make the World Series. It should be an action-packed series, as the Dodgers and the Braves were the two highest-scoring teams in the league during the shortened regular season. The Dodgers had 349 runs while the Braves were just one-shy and scored 348.
NLCS Game 1 Odds
Walker Buehler is taking the mound for the Dodgers tonight, while the Braves get things started with Max Fried. The Dodgers are ahead in the odds at bet365 Sports at 1.71, while the Braves roll in at 2.20.
