MGS 2015 Puts Macao on the Global iGaming Map

A great platform for iGaming in the Macao provided guidance on the means by which to move iGaming in the Orient to the next level.

Local Meets Global

The Macao Gaming Show last week hosted gaming and leisure professionals from around the world and representatives from every continent. The 3rd edition of the Macao Gaming Show drew in a record total of 138 exhibitors on the showfloor, as well as additional companies from special zones in France, South Korea and Macau.

Large Scale

The magnitude of the event also set records: this year's MGS occupied a record-breaking 12,000 sqm of stand space, a jump of nearly 20% from last year to firmly cement its place as one of the top three independent exhibitions in the Macau SAR.

Chung further lauded the value of the impression that the MGS and the Macao Tourism and Culture Summit left on “key partners” in the Macau SAR Government.

Overview

A traditional ceremonial procedures involving leading political and industrial dignitaries from both Macau and international circles who cut the ribbon side-by-side launched the fast-growing event covered by over 50 of the leading international and Chinese media corporations, influential trade association MGEMA, owners and Organisers of MGS. Major government supporters included the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the Cultural Affairs Bureau (ICM) and the Macao Foundation to officiate the opening ceremony.

Key Dignitaries

Key international dignitaries enjoyed a personal guided by Chun of the array interactive booths at the show including but not limited to global gaming giants, small Macau businesses, classic cars, the Macau Future and Cultural Creative Zone, the Slot Experience Centre.

The Macao Tourism and Culture Summit (MTCS) also provide keynote speeches from senior figures in the economic and political hierarchies of Macau and mainland China, giving a strong local integration to the globalizing summit.

Key MGEMA summit official Ray Kok shared the vision and roadmap for by MGS of wholeheartedly embracing mass-market players, with mass-market being the direction in which expansion would continue.

The Mass Market of iGaming

With online gaming representing the largest mass market that exists, MGS was effectively preparing itself for the challenge of the new world in identifying the sectors and technologies through which areas Macao and the Pacific Rim could harness the benefits of online expansion.
