MLB: Blue Jays Vs. IndiansPublished August 3, 2021 by Sol FH
The MLB regular season continues to amaze and tonight's game at 00:30 GMT between Toronto and Cleveland should be a great one.
The Blue Jays lost last night's game against the Cleveland Indians 5-2 to kick off their 3-game series. Tonight, the Jays will try to get revenge and even out the series at one game apiece, but the Indians looked strong in Game 1, albeit they have been in a tailspin since late June.
Over their last 30 games, the Indians are 11-19 and they have lost to teams that are rated far lower. In comparison, the Jays have been really good over the second half of the year going 9-6 over 15 games and posting a big .852 OPS.
Although the Jays lost the first game, they are still favored to win tonight. Toronto will send Hyun Jin-Ryu to the mound to face off against Zach Plesac. There are numerous betting options in this head-to-head battle between two excellent pitchers.
The Jays have a heavy offense with a number of power hitters that could pick Plesac apart. If the Indians are to win this game they will need to get on the board early like in Game 1 and play excellent defense.
Tonight's game will be played before a limited crowd at Rogers Centre in Toronto, where the Jays have been excellent over the second half.
MLB Betting Odds and Prediction
At bet365 Sports, the Jays are favored to win at 1.50, while the Indians are at 2.70. Either team could, of course, win tonight, but the Jays will be on their A-game and looking for a decisive victory to take them into Game 3 on a good note.
Expect the Jays to win tonight at around 6-2.
