MLB: Live Baseball Tonight as Tampa Bay and Toronto Go Head-to-HeadPublished June 13, 2017 by Sol FH
The MLB is live at bet365 Sports, as the Jays host the Rays at Rogers Centre tonight at 00:07 GMT.
Now with the NBA, NHL, Champions League, European soccer leagues and many other sports that take the summer months off, it is time to focus on America's pastime and get into the mid-year action that is unfolding in the Major Leagues. For those of you that haven't been following as much as you should, it has been an incredible year. Many of the teams that were on top of their game last season have fallen, and many of the lesser-ranked outfits are doing quite well. Tonight, we have one of those for you, as the Jays host the Rays.
Last year the Toronto Blue Jays had a good hold over the AL East for most of the season. This year, they started the year with one of their worst losing records in recent history. They have fought back to one game from .500, but they are still in last place in the AL East, while Tampa are in a solid third position. Tonight's game will answer a lot of questions for those that were critical of Jays this year and if they can get a couple of wins in this short two-game face-off with Tampa, they will finally dig themselves out of the doghouse and back into contention before mid-year break.
Battle on the Mound
The Rays will throw their newest pitcher at the Jays hitters, as they give the start to Jacob Faria. Faria got his first start in the MLB against the White Sox and his performance was quite good, getting 5 K's and the win. The Blue Jays are going with struggling, Marco Estrada who started the year quite strong but has hit a road block over his last few games.
MLB Betting Markets
bet365 Sports has posted their prediction for the outright winner tonight, and even though the Rays are in better position in the standings, the Jays are the favorites at 1.71, while the Rays are at 2.20. Not a huge difference in the odds, but punters are recommended to play a pre-game line and a live in play market throughout the game.
