MLB Live Bet: The Race for the Post Season Heats Up

There are only five days left in the 2014 MLB regular season and the teams that can make the post season are battling it out in attempts to secure one of the final Wild Card spots. Beginning on October 2, the MLB post-season is one of the first signs that Fall is here and the World Series cannot be far behind. Which teams will make the cut is becoming clearer by the day, but there could be some major surprises in store.

Seattle vs Toronto

The Seattle Mariners traveled to Rogers Center in Toronto yesterday for the beginning of their four game series against the Jays, with six games total left to play. In the opening game, the visitors were absolutely pummeled by the Jays 14-4. The Jays could end the Mariners playoff dreams, as Seattle desperately need a win to stay in the Wild Card race against Oakland and Kansas City.  The Jays have only a small thread that they are holding on to after losing their previous series against the Orioles and are now playing spoiler, hoping that other teams lose so they can miraculously make the playoffs.

In need of a win, Seattle will turn to their ace, Felix Hernandez in hopes that "King Felix" can do a better job that what was seen last night.  Hernandez is a league leader with a 0.96 ERA in four games this month and is 14-5 with a 2.07 ERA for the season.  If anyone can do it, he can do it but don't count the Blue Jays out, especially when playing at home.

The Jays will be starting R. Dickey on the mound and hoping his dreaded knuckle ball can be enough to beat Seattle.  Dickey has gone 5-2 in his last 10 games and is unbeaten in his last six games only allowing nine runs.
