Arguably two of the best teams in the MLB go head-to-head tonight in the first of a seven game series over the course of August, which will no doubt have some grave effect on the American League. The Indians have the second best record in the AL, and are followed closely by the Red Sox in fourth, after the Yankees took over second spot two nights ago.
The Red Sox have the home-field advantage tonight and they will be throwing their struggling right-hander to the mound in Doug Fister. He has been moved back into the rotation after Price fell to injury, which is terrible news for Boston. Fister is 0-5 this year and has a 7.46 ERA. His last trip to the mound was against Blue Jays on July 20 in which he gave up six runs in a little over four innings before he was pulled.
The Indians will be throwing their young rightie, Mike Clevinger, whom would probably like to forget about his last performance. Last week he gave up six earned runs in 4 1/3 innings but still has an impressive ERA at 3.20 and 78 strike outs.
These two teams have not met this season. It has been a long wait since they played last fall since Cleveland swept the Sox in the third game of the ALDS, which was their ticket to the ALCS to face the Jays.

It is definitely looking like the Indians could pull off an away win and leave the Red Sox struggling to get back on track.
