Mobile Casino Games Grow Bigger

Strong increase in deposits shows more growth in mobile casino industry.

Probability, one of the leading software providers for the burgeoning mobile casino industry, has reported record growth to end the year 2010.

The company, which powers Paddy Power Mobile and other mobile gambling operations, recorded a 35% increase in mobile casino deposits in the last quarter of 2010, compared to the previous quarter.

Strong End of Year

December was a particularly big month for customer deposits for the company, which according to analysis was a result of the cold weather snap across Europe and North America that left people turning to online and mobile gambling more than usual.

Probability Chief Executive Charles Cohen agreed, saying: "it seems that the snow helped, and out hunch is that customers were turning to their mobiles for entertainment when they found themselves stuck at home or elsewhere."

Smartphones

Notably, significant growth was recorded in deposit made by customers using the popular iPhone and Android devices. The December growth of 27% came just four months after gambling services were first offered for those mobile devices.

Probability has more than five years experience specializing in mobile gaming, and shifter its daily operations to Gibraltar from Alderney late last year after becoming the first company since 2008 to be issued a license by the Government of Gibraltar.
