Monday Night Football: AFC West vs South with Odds and PreviewPublished October 24, 2016 by Sol FH
The Houston Texans vs Denver Broncos tonight at 1:30 GMT with pre-game and live in play odds available.
To close out week 7 of the NFL Regular Season we are to be treated to a fine match-up between the Houston Texans taking on the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field in Colorado. The Texans are in first place in the AFC South with a respectable record of 4-2, but they are 0-2 on-the-road already this year and winning in Denver is no easy task. The Broncos are in second place in the AFC West, also with a 4-2 record, but they have lost two straight including a tough one to San Diego last week.
Tonight's game pits two teams together that are very evenly matched. The defending Super Bowl Champs have been searching to find their rhythm this season with big changes at QB with Trevor Siemian, an inexperienced QB that has held his own so far this season. Siemian is 98 for 155 with 1055 yards and 7 TD's. He will face former Broncos QB Brock Osweiler, who is having a better year than Siemian with 134 for 227 with 1407 yards and 8 TD's.
The battle will be won by the defense on either side. Both teams are virtually equal in total yards per game, but the Texans have an edge on the ground gaining 111 yards to the Broncos' 98.5. Stopping the Texans run will be the top priority for the Denver rush defense and with such a solid defensive roster, they shouldn't have any trouble.
The big loss to the Texans defense was losing J.J. Watt to another back injury. Watt's presence and intensity will be missed until at least late in the regular season, which is a huge blow to the team, but they have been doing alright without him and are still again in first place in the South.
