Monday Night Football: Giants vs EaglesPublished October 19, 2015 by Sol FH
Week 6 of the NFL Regular Season continues with the final game of the week at 1:30 GMT.
The Philadelphia Eagles host the New York Giants in their highly anticipated Monday Night Football match up tonight. The Eagles are 2-3 and sitting in last place in the NFC East, while the Giants took over first place in the same division with a 3-2 record. Neither team can afford a loss tonight, as the division is very tight with the Cowboys and Redskins eyeing a spot at the top. If the Giants can pull out the victory on the road, they will be that much closer to a spot in the offseason, leaving the Eagles questioning what changes they need to make.
The Eagles need a win tonight and after their blowout winning performance last week against the New Orleans Saints, they could easily pull it off. Their offense is coming together and defensively they will need to shut down Eli Manning, whom is finding his groove recently.
The Giants are coming off a very close win last week, beating the 49ers on the last play of the game with only seconds left. This week, the Giants have a lot of injuries, especially to their wide receivers. Victor Cruz is out and although Reuben Randle will play, he is limited with a hamstring injury. The big news is star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. who might not be able to play due to his injury, which will leave Manning without trustworthy hands to catch his passes. Depending on the rush is not something that the Giants want to do, because of the strong Eagle's rush defense.
