Monday Night Football: Rams vs. Ravens
Published November 25, 2019 by Sol FH
The grand finale to Week 12 kicks-off tonight at 1:15 GMT between the Los Angeles Rams and the Baltimore Ravens.
The Rams are underdogs tonight, as they host the Ravens in this week's Monday Night match-up. The Ravens (8-2) are big favorites tonight, led by MVP candidate Lamar Jackson at QB. After winning six-straight games, Baltimore is well ahead of any other team in the AFC North, and, they are second overall in the AFC after the Patriots. The Rams are having an inconsistent few weeks at 6-4 in the NFC West, good enough for third place in the division.
Los Angeles started the season with a bang, going 3-0 before dropping three-straight, to the Buccaneers, Seahawks, and the 49ers, respectively. Their last loss was on November 10th against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a hard-fought battle. Last week, the Rams topped the Bears 17-7.
The Ravens absolutely destroyed the Texans last week 41-7 and are the sole team to beat the New England Patriots this season. QB Lamar Jackson has thrown for 2,258 yards, has a completion average of 66.3%, 19TDs, only 5 interceptions, and, a QB rating of 77.8 good enough for 3rd overall in the league. He is a force through the air and on land, as his speed and agility have had even the top defenses in the league looking for ways to stop him.
The Rams have been plagued with injuries, and, last week had multiple players on the sidelines as a flu bug tore through their ranks. Having a home-field advantage should help them in their mission to beat the Ravens, but, with Baltimore playing the best football of most teams in the league, winning will be far easier said than done.
