Monday Night Football: Underdog Odds Could Pay Off

Week 11 comes to a close with the Steelers vs Titans, live in Tennessee at 1:30am (UK).

It may seem like an easy bet; the Steelers (6-4) over the Titans (2-7), but tonight's game is anything but a quick pick. The Titans are having a terrible season, which is kind of the trend with the other AFC South teams with the exception of the Colts. The Steelers are in third place in the AFC North, yet another lack-luster division, but could be a threat for the off-season with a few more wins, especially one tonight.

Judging by their records alone, tonight's Monday Night Football game looks like it could, and should be a blowout, but there are a few things to remember. Two of the Steelers' losses have come at the hands of teams with the worst records in the NFL. Last week it was the 1-8 Jets that gave Pittsburgh their fourth loss, and in Week 4 they were beaten at home by the Buccaneers. This is maybe the only thread of hope that the Titans are holding on to, because even with the Steelers' dodgy win/loss record, the Titans will need to turn the juice up if they are to have any chance.

Keys to Victory

The Steelers are on the road tonight, which is not necessarily a bad thing for them. They have been good with away games and, really shouldn't run into any glitches on the way to victory tonight. If they do win tonight, they will be 7-4 going in to Week 12, which is the best record they will have had after eleven games, since their 2011 playoff bid.

The Titans are at home tonight, which is about the only thing they have going in their favor. This team needs to regroup and figure out some serious lineup/coaching positions before next year. The Titans need to score early and hold off the Steelers strong offense.

The Titans may pull out a miracle tonight and for that, punters will cash in on the underdog outright market, which is 3.20. The Steelers are at 1.37, which is a strong outright market. There are dozens of markets available for the showdown in Tennessee including Point Spread, Quarter Bets, and everything else you'd expect from one of the most popular and trusted online sportsbooks in the world, bet365 Sports.
