NYX Gaming Group Limited, one of the major software developers for the online gambling industry has recently expanded its market share by purchasing Betdigital, a UK based software developer that specializes in gambling related games and platforms.
Betdigital was launched back in 2011 and has made a dent in the industry by creating a variety of products including gaming titles as well as systems for interactive and mobile platforms mostly oriented at a United Kingdom market. One of their trademarks is creating cross-platform games that bring immensely successful online titles to land-based casino as well. The transaction comes after the success of a series of Betdigital titles, proving that the UK developers understand their market and know how to constantly increase their presence.
Betdigital to Help Solidify NYX Offer
Betdigital CEO Heath Samples declared the company can help NYX “gain maximum returns from for their plans for omni-channel expansion.” Haynes added that by being part of the NYX brand, Betdigital can increase their cross sales due to the large NEX customer base.
NYX Gaming Group’s CEO Matt Davey was also pleased by the acquisition arguing that the UK software developers will help NYX increase their reach and solidify the company’s software offer for their global audience. Davey also mentioned the immediate effect the acquisition will have on the UK market, where Betdigital’s expertise and market prowess made them an industry leader.
This is just one in a long list of acquisitions that have taken place this summer, with their frequency increasing as the summer months drew near.
As far as the financial aspect is concerned, NYX announced that it would pay up to £24.5 million for Betdigital. The transaction would be split in two payments: a yet unknown cash payment and an “earn out” that will be in place for the following three years.
