Mr Green Casino Releases New Mobile Facebook-Integrated AppPublished August 26, 2014 by Amir G
New beta mobile app released by Mr Green Casino lets UK players access the casino's real-money games by logging in via their Facebook account.
Having recently acquired social casino studio Social Thrills, Swedish online casino operator Mr Green is starting to show the initial fruits of the move earlier this year by the launch of a new smartphone app letting UK players log in the casino via their Facebook accounts.
Still branded a test launch by Mr Green, the beta version of the app is letting UK players access real- online casino games at Mr Green Casino via their smartphones, logging in using their Facebook accounts. While the release of the new app is not expected to have any major impact on the 2014 earnings for Mr Green, it will serve as testing grounds for the company's foray into the world of online casino and social network integration.
March Towards Social Online Casinos
Earlier this year, Mr Green-acquired Social Thrills launched Spin Tower, an exclusive Facebook casino taking place in a skyscraper where players gradually advance through playing different slot games, with the ability to involve friends by inviting them, challenging them to a game and the likes. With the rising popularity of both social networks and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, Mr Green is gradually tightening its involvement in social network gaming environments, and the integration of mobile players in these projects is considered strategically important.
“For us, being one of a handful of gaming companies to offer real-money gaming in the UK market with a Facebook log-in represents a seal of quality," said Mr Green CEO Mikael Pawlo in a press release addressing the launch of the new Facebook beta app. Pawlo mentioned the launch and success of Spin Tower Casino, adding: "We are highly satisfied with our presence on Facebook with Spin Tower Casino. It has given us a deep understanding of player behaviour on this platform."
