When the Warriors broke the record for most wins in an NBA regular season, everyone thought that this was a year that they would rule the playoffs for the second year in a row. When Steph Curry won the MVP award for the second time straight, this time unanimously (for the first time ever in the history of the game) everyone assumed that the Warriors would breeze through all of their competition. They never lost to the Thunder in the regular season and again, everyone thought that this would be the case in this series, but the Thunder have had other ideas.
The Thunder are now 3-1 and have a chance to bury the hatchet tonight on arguably one of the best teams in the history of the NBA, and the best part, they are at home to try and do so. When the Thunder have won, they have won big and Game 4 was no different. Westbrook and Durant have crushed the Warriors defense and Adams has been all over the boards bringing down crucial rebounds helping lead the Thunder to victory.
Steve Kerr, Head Coach at Golden State knows that it is do-or-die time and must make some big changes to inspire his team to come back and win the next three games straight. No easy task, as it looks like the Thunder have been able to pinpoint the Warriors' weaknesses and take advantage of them. It is a position that the Warriors are not used too, and obviously are uncomfortable being in.
With the Cavs just one win away from advancing on the Eastern front, would the Warriors or the Thunder be a better matchup for LeBron and his team? It will take the Thunder one win to find out, but for the Warriors, the road ahead is long and surely winding.
NBA Playoff Betting
Bet365 Sports has been all over the NBA Playoffs, offering attractive and competitive online betting odds. I am absolutely blown away that the Warriors are still so favored to win Game 5 with odds of 1.28 for a Golden State win, while the Thunder come in at 3.75. This is the time to place a bet on the Thunder and hope they can finish the job.
