Miami Heat spoil Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose return with a 107-95 victory.
If the Miami Heat - Chicago Bulls match yesterday which followed the championship ring ceremony is any indication for the upcoming NBA season, basketball fans are up for a treat. The rivalry between the Heat and the Bulls has been dominating the NBA in the last three seasons, and yesterday's meeting between the two showed that it is not planning on going anywhere.
The Heat trailed 9-2 in early game but this was turned around by the defending champion by the end of the first quarter taking a 52-24 lead. The Bulls were excited about the return of Derrick Rose who was absent since his knee injury in April 2012. The returning point guard, who was even congratulated by Bulls fan Barack Obama on his Twitter account, finished with 12 points in 34 minutes. Carlos Boozer carried the game for the Bulls with 31 points but that wasn't enough.
The champions from Florida displayed good defense which managed to stand up to the Bulls' struggle. The Heat's Dwayne Wade (13 points) and Lebron James (17 points) managed to bring the game to a 107-95 Heat victory.
