NBA Monday Night Action: Pacers vs. CavaliersPublished February 29, 2016 by Sol FH
Pacers vs Cavaliers tonight at 00:05 GMT, and LeBron expected to be back in action.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a great season up until a couple of weeks ago. Now, just 6-4 over their last ten, the Raptors have managed to close the gap from second place to only two games, and the Cavs problems seem to be much deeper than just the occasional absence of their hometown hero.
Without James in the lineup against the Wizards on Sunday, Tyronn Lue's team lost 113-99. It was a terrible night for the entire team, trailing the Wizards by as much as 30 points at certain times during the game. The Cavs, now 41-17, have lost two straight and it is obvious that without James, they are doomed. The performance on Sunday was not up to par of any NBA team. The starters and the bench played without any energy at all, and sharp-shooter J.R. Smith was quick to explain, "'If we're going to play with a lack of energy ... and come out and play the way we did today, we shouldn't be who we are and be in these uniforms."
The problems could continue for the Cavs against the Pacers tonight, as James has not played like the MVP of past years we are used to. He shot only 42.2 percent in the two games against Indiana this season and will need to improve against the Pacers, still in the running for a playoff berth.
The Pacers are down but not out. They are only one loss away from being out of the playoff picture, but there is still time left to turn things around. If they are able to win, it will be the first time beating Cleveland at home in the last 13 games.
