NBA Odds and Game Preview: Hawks vs Cavaliers

The Atlanta Hawks travel to Quicken Loans Arena to take on LeBron and the Cavs. Tip-off at 00:00 GMT.
The defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers are at home tonight after a quick 102-101 victory in Philadelphia against the 76ers on Saturday Night. The 6-0 Cavs are the only undefeated team left in the NBA, enroute to their best start since the 1976-77 regular season in which they went 8-0. Excellent shooting at range has been instrumental in the Cavs' winning this season scoring 80 three-pointers over the first six games. They are averaging 13.3 three-point shots made, which is the best in the NBA.
The Cavaliers face-off against the #4 Atlanta Hawks tonight, a team that Cleveland has had no trouble with in recent history, with 11 straight wins against Atlanta.
The Hawks have bulked up their lineup adding Dwight Howard and Jarrett Jack. It cost them Jeff Teague and Al Horford, but they are 4-2 and looking quite solid on both ends of the court so this is probably a better situation for them. The Hawks lead the league in steals with 12.2 per game, so the Cavs had better protect the ball so they don't lose too many points due to turnovers.
The Hawks have not had success against the Cavs, but then again, neither have any of the first 6 teams to face them. Cleveland almost lost on Saturday night to the 76ers, and it might be time that they lose their first game of the season, so punters ought to be aware of the attractive odds in favor of the Hawks tonight.
