The first round of the NBA Playoffs has been incredibly exciting thus far, and things are just heating up as teams battle for a spot in the next round. One of the favorites in the playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks, has the chance to go up 3-games to 1 if they are able to again beat the Magic. Orlando, however, has different plans and have a formula in place that they hope will at least slow Giannis and the high-flying Bucks.
The Magic is focused on limiting points in transition, maintaining a low number of turnovers, quality ball movement, staying aggressive on rebounds, and minimize the number of fouls. If the Magic can stick to this plan they might have all the steps needed to upset the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed.
The Magic has been starting slow and playing much better basketball in the second half.
Magic Head Coach Steve Clifford commented, “We have to win the first quarter (in Game 4). We can’t play against a team as good as they are always from behind. It puts so much pressure on you and the other part is when you get running up and down the floor with them, they’re just able to have those six-zero, eight-zero stretches.”
The Bucks ended the season in top-spot defensively and get are a very tough team to score on. On offense, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been lighting it up, averaging 31.5 points per game. He scored 35 in Game 3, had 11 rebounds, and 7 assists.
