Selection Sunday is now over and the NCAA Championship Tournament is set to tip-off with all 64 teams ready to take a shot at the title. Prior to the first game day on March 19, the First Four games will be played on the 17-18 of March. It will be a long road to the final on April 6, but with so much action from now until then, it’s fair to say that there will be no lack of what to watch.
Wildcard Slots
Playing off for a wildcard spot into the tourney are 8 teams with nothing to lose but to go for it. The Mid West playoff is between Manhattan (16) and Hampton (16) for a shot at starting the tournament against 34-0 Kentucky (1). In the West it will be Ole Miss (11) vs BYU (11) for a chance to play Xavier (6). Over in the East it’s a face-off between Boise State (11) and Dayton (11) to squeeze in against Providence (6) and lastly the South features N. Florida (16) vs Robert Morris (16) to play 1st ranked Duke.
NCAA #1 Seeds
The selection process on Sunday went down without a hitch and ended much like was predicted. Fans, schools and punters alike were not surprised with the top 5 picks. These teams represent the names that will most-likely go far in the tournament and even have a serious shot at winning it all.
Tournament favorites Kentucky have not lost a single game this year, which could make things more stressful for them, but expect the Wildcats to do well. The other number 1 picks are Wisconsin (31-3), Duke (29-4) and Villanova (32-2) in the West, South and East respectively.

Rounding out the top 5 in each region are:
Midwest – Kansas (2), Notre Dame (3), Maryland (4) and West Virginia (5)
East – Virginia (2), Oklahoma (3), Louisville (4) and Northern Iowa (5)
South – Gonzaga (2), Iowa State (3), Georgetown (4) and Utah (5)
West – Arizona (2), Baylor (3), North Carolina (4) and Arkansas (5)
