Net Entertainment Eyes America

Net Entertainment, which hails of out Stockholm Sweden, is widely touted as one of the pioneering originators in terms of software development in the online gaming world. It was established by Pontus Lindwall, the Kinnevik Group and the Cherry Group back in 1996. A leading provider of browser-based internet casino software, Net Entertainment has posted continual growth since April of 2007.

In the first half of 2013 the highly touted software developer posted a $45.2 million increase in revenue, marking similar gains from the previous period last year. This is all in spite of the stats that show that its operating margins fell 3.9% in the same period last year.

Unique in the Business

Net Entertainment possesses a truly original status in the business in that the developer giant has no casino operation of its own, no interest in any such operations and yet focuses its strategy on casino games. The result is a software developing giant that contains no conflicts of interest with its customers.  

Per Erikkson, the CEO of Net Entertainment has stated that the live casino launch was going forward "at a somewhat slower pace than expected" but had previously stated that "the low season normally starts in May." He also pointed out only eight of the nineteen live casino agreements had actually launched their product, explaining that "certain operators are waiting to fully market the product until blackjack is live."

While signing no less than a dozen licensing arrangements in the first six months of this year, Net Ent also entertains the possibility of cracking the American market with high hopes of potentially presenting a daily presence there.
