Netherlands Looks to Legalize Online Gaming Market

The Netherlands will look to legalize online gambling in the upcoming months and operators are signing up for licenses.

Recent changes made in the regulations regarding online gambling in the Netherlands have allowed operators to sign up for gaming licenses in the market and the response so far has been very impressive. Since the new laws passed on December 1, 2014, 200 companies have expressed their interest in acquiring a license for the upcoming legalization of the Dutch online market, although it still remains unclear what form it will take.

Legalizing Coming this Summer

According to reports, the liberalization of the online gambling industry in the Netherlands should take place this summer and some of the operators will receive licenses to offer their products within this market. The details have not yet been made available so it remains to be seen what games will be approved but the high interest shown by the companies so far is certainly a strong indicator of the demand in the country.

The grey market is very well established and the Ksa has estimated that citizens from the Netherlands spent somewhere around €800 million on unregulated online gambling options last year. The legalization will look to transform this amount into taxable money while also creating a more secure environment for the players.

Licensed Online Casinos

There are already some great options available for players from the Netherlands, with the likes of Casino Cruise, Golden Riviera, Tivoli Casino and EUCasino leading the charge. These websites, and several more, are all licensed and regulated and offer vast collections of games from the biggest providers in the industry.

Hot casino gaming options can be easily accessed and enjoyed for real money without having to worry about security or payment issues. Multiple banking options make sure deposits and withdrawals are done without any hassle and players can just enjoy the virtual environment created around the best casino games on the market.
