eCOGRA head addresses the members of affiliate convention in Montreal saying that the industry must unite against cheaters and set high standards of fairness. The gambling industry is currently attending the Global Interactive Gaming Summit in Montreal.
Beveridge addressed the crowds and explained that in order for the affiliates to achieve full recognition and respectability, the leaders needed to unite in order to fight cheating. He continued that in order to enhance its occasional shady image, underage gamblers must be eradicated from the scene and fair gaming practices must be ensured by all sites. Beverdige stressed the importance of his watchdog group which provides seals of approval for several sites wishing to achieve an extra level of reputability.
Beveridge said that he felt that the entire gambling world was not pulling together because only 76 sites out of thousands carry the eCOGRA gaming seal of approval which ensures the games are random, payout percentages are fair and money transfers are secure. eCOGRA representatives were one of the hundreds of companies or organizations that attended the Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo which has been held in Montreal over the past six years.
