Gaming products and services provider, Scientific Games Corp. has a new Chief Executive Officer, with David Kennedy as CEO, and Ron Perelman announced as Chairman.
November 19th saw the announcement that David Kennedy had been appointed CEO of Scientific Games Corporation. The New York based company provides instant lottery games and terminals, gaming control systems and interactive gaming facilities. Having produced the first secure instant lottery ticket in 1974, Scientific Games is a leader in the market.
The Board of Directors have promoted Mr Kennedy, who has replaced A. Lorne Weil with immediate effect. To separate the roles of CEO and Chairman, an additional appointment has been made, with billionaire Ron Perelman being made the company Chairman.
Mr Kennedy has had several years of service with Scientific Games, having been on the Board since 2009, as Vice Chairman and a member of it's Executive and Finance Committee. His appointment comes at a time when the company is completing its' integration of gambling equipment manufacturer WMS Industries which it bought in October of this year.
