Online casino games developer Playtech, have announced the appointment of Hilary Stewart-Jones to the position of Non-executive Director.
Hilary Stewart-Jones is a leading expert in gaming law, with 15 years' of experience advising a number of companies on issues relating to the laws affecting the sector. Playtech have announced her appointment, with immediate effect, to the position of Non-executive Diector, where she will sit on their Audit Committee, and head the Risk and Compliance Committee, and Remuneration Committee.
Previously employed by DLA Piper, and remaining in a consultancy position with the firm, Ms. Stewart-Jones is a qualified solicitor who has also worked for Ladbrokes plc where she was head of the in-house gambling division for five years. She left Ladbrokes in 2000 to take up a partnership at Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP
Commenting on the appointment of Ms. Stewart-Jones, the Non-executive Chairman of Playtech, Alan Jackson said ''She brings a wealth of gaming sector knowledge which will enable her to make a significant contribution to the Company and its future growth."
